Parmesan Cheese Sticks with Montreal Bagel Spice


With grated Parmesan and Montreal Bagel Spice Seasoning, this recipe is sort of like the adult version of everyone’s favourite snack, the astonishingly delicious cheese stick—but don’t worry, the kids will love ‘em, too.



What you'll need

  • 14-ounce box Butter Puff pastry (thawed from frozen)
  • 1 large egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
  • 1 Cup grated Parmesan 
  • All-purpose flour, for rolling 
  • Montreal Bagel Spice (approx 2 tablespoons or to taste)


  1.  Preheat oven to (400°F) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. 
  2. On a flour-dusted surface, start by rolling out a sheet of thawed puff pastry into a rectangle (about 1/8 inch thick).
  3. Whisk the egg with the water and brush the puff pastry with the egg wash.
  4. Sprinkle the puff pastry lightly with Montreal Bagel Spice.
  5. Sprinkle plenty of grated parmesan cheese all over, pressing in gently.
  6. Cut the rectangle into long strips (about 3/4 inch thick) using a knife or a pizza cutter.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and the strips on a sheet pan, then twist.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
