Kick things up a notch with a sweeter, smokier twist on this comforting soup. Serve with garnishes such as roasted pumpkin seeds or homemade croutons for added texture.

What you'll need

  • 1 1/2 cups tomato (fresh or canned), chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup almonds, slivered
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups water or the broth of your choice, prepared
  • 1-2 Tbsp oil (we recommend avocado)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Santa Fe Chipotle Honey

Preparation

  1. Heat avocado oil to a medium heat. Add onion & garlic, sauté until soft. 
  2. Add slivered almonds & Santa Fe Chipotle Honey and continue to sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add tomatoes & water and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Blend with an immersion blender and serve.
